	The hotel Tryp Oriente is located on the former Expo 98 site "Parque das Naçoes"offering a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, sports, etc. as well as a fabulous view of the Tejo river (Mar da Palha). Vis-a-vis of the hotel you'll find the new Exposition Center of Lisbon AIP-FIL and the Multipurpuse Wing. Furthermore, the hotel is close to the Portela International Airport. The hotel Tryp Oriente has a total of 116 rooms: 90 apartments and 26 suites. All of them with private bath, air-conditioning, kitchenette, minibar, direct dial telephone and satellite TV. Limited number of rooms speciall adapted for the disabled and rooms for non-smokers.

Having just returned from this hotel, I must say that it has some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. It's also in the Expo 98 "Parque des naciones" site, which means it's close to lots of good restaurants, attractions, shops and with good connections via train, bus road and metro. However, it's currently being upgraded to a 4 star, which meant that there was some building work going on. Will have to revisit in a couple of months!

The best of this Hotel is the location. Next to Oriente Station with all Suburban and long distance trains as well as the Lisbon Metro and more than 15 urban and suburban Bus lines and the short distance to the airport, 3Min by Taxi 5 Min by Bus 44, makes it unnecessary to hire a car and will prevent you from getting trapped or lost in the Lisbon traffic.
